There’s our CPU trying to jump out of the packaging.

Not a great deal of contents in a CPU box, like many other CPUs the standard heatsink comes with pre-applied thermal compound.

Free i7 sticker is very important, we need to let passersby know what chip we are rocking.

The standard heatsink up close, it has a much lower profile that most other high end CPU coolers.

Quad core performance! Note the plastic was left on the CPU until the last minute to avoid contamination.

It’s amazing that something so small can do so much.

Looks like a lot of reviewers give this board the thumbs up.

Detailed instruction manual, SATA cables, I/O shield, driver disc, SLI bridge and some case badges. Nice of them to include a SLI bridge since not all GPUs come with them.

Motherboard still hiding away from all that evil static electricity.

Good to see Gigabyte move away from the bright blue colour scheme.

Low profile heatsinks make installing big coolers and graphics cards a lot easier.

Plenty of PCI slots, most of which are still accessible in a multi-GPU configuration.

Six SATA connections available which can be setup in a RAID configuration if desired.

Pretty much every port you are ever going to need, USB 2.0 and 3.0, digital and analog audio, eSATA even PS2 keyboard support still remains.
